Haití. With a simple ceremony, the Bishop in charge, Mons. Polo, officially presented the NUOVO KONTRA (New Testament in Creole, the Haitian people language) last Thursday, October 1st ,in the Theological Studies Centre. The work has been published by the Claretian Missionaries. The Bishop summarized the path followed to obtain the result of a huge effort, thanking all those who worked on this new translation project. He also highlighted the importance of this new translation for the people and for the Haitian Church. Fr. Willian Smart expressed the intention to translate the Old Testament too.
