Brazil. On September 27, Bible Day, a Eucharistic celebration took place in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Goiânia, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first publication of the Bible by the Ave María Publishing House. The Eucharist was presided over by Mons. Washington Cruz and participated by priests of the Archdiocese, all the collaborators of the Goiânia Bookstore and the seminarians. In his homily, Mons. Washington emphasised the great contribution that the Ave María Bible has been rendering to the Church in Brazil all throughout these 50 years. He also revealed that in his youth, it was in the Ave María Bible where he sought the orientation and motivation for the discernment of his vocation. At the end of the celebration, Mons. Washington granted a special blessing to the collaborators and personnel of the Ave María Publishing House.
