FIRST RELIGIOUS PROFESSION IN “JESUS ANÍBAL GÓMEZ NOVITIATE,” COLOMBIA

Jan 9, 2022 | Colombia - Venezuela, Formation, MICLA, Novitiate, Perú - Bolivia, San José del Sur

On January 6, 2022, in the Basilica of Our Lady of Chiquinquirá in La Estrella, Antioquia, the following novices, Yuder Rafael Medina, Jaime Andrés Sarria (Province Colombia Venezuela), Anthony Eduardo Longa (Province Peru Bolivia), Jason Maicon Ansieta and Mauro Ezequiel Mamani (Province San José del Sur), who have concluded their formative experience in the Novitiate “Jesús Aníbal Gómez,” made their first profession.

The profession was received by Father Luis Armando Valencia CMF, Provincial Superior of the Claretian Province of Colombia/Venezuela. He was accompanied by Father Joseph Kalakkal CMF, of the Province of Peru/Bolivia and Father Jorge Ricardo Cóceres CMF of the Province of San José del Sur, together with a good number of Claretians, some relatives of the professed, as well as some friends and neighbors.

With this celebration of the Religious Profession, the phase of the formation experience of “Jesus Aníbal Gómez Novitiate” ends for the Province of Colombia Venezuela. It was carried out at the service of our organization and other Claretian organizations of the continent and has opened the way for a new experience in the Claretian Novitiate for America (MICLA), which was recently inaugurated in Córdoba, Argentina.

We thank Fathers José Gilberto Franco, Master of Novices, and Darío Villegas, Auxiliary, who in recent years have generously accompanied this formative stage in our Province. We also express our gratitude to the God of life for the gift of the vocation of these our brothers, who have consecrated themselves in the following of Jesus and for the missionary service of His Kingdom.
