Negombo, Sri Lanka. The Independent Delegation of St. Joseph Vaz is holding its General Assembly from April 6-9, 2021 at St. Claret Seminary, Negombo. This is the first assembly to be held with all members serving on the island since it was constituted as an independent delegation on October 24, 2019.
Thirty perpetually professed members (twenty-eight priests and two deacons) participated on the first day. Due to restrictions imposed by the civil authorities to deal with the pandemic, the ordinary assembly could not be held last year. We wish all the members of St. Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation a happy Easter and may the Holy Spirit guide them in discernment and communion.
