Medellin, Colombia. As it was in the past two years, after the year-round General Canonical Visits to a continent, the General Government organizes a meeting with the Governments of the Major Organisms of that continent towards the end of the year. On Monday, 2 December 2019, such meeting started for the Claretian Missionaries in the American continent, or commonly known in the Congregation as MICLA. This summit, which is being held at the Villa Claret Retreat House in Medellin will go on until the 12th of December and its theme is “Witnesses and Messenger of the Joy of the Gospel in America.” The main objective is to discern together the challenges to the missionary life in America as well as its corresponding responses after the Canonical Visits conducted in the continent and in the light of the XXV General Chapter.
