Brodowski, S.P., Brazil. During the afternoon session of the 8th of July, 2011, on the third day of the 2nd Provincial Chapter, Fr. Marcos Loro, CMF (photo) was elected Major Superior of Brazil for three years. After accepting his election, he was confirmed in that post by Fr, Paul Smyth, CMF, Vicar General.
Fr. Marcos Loro, was born on April 20, 1965 in the city of Três de Maio, Rio Grande do Sul. At the age of 13 he entered the Claretian Seminary of Esteio. He made his first religious profession on February 2, 1986, and perpetual on March 15, 1992. He was ordained a priest on December 18, 1993. He has been a Pastor, Formator, Rector, and Adminsitrator of the ‘Studium Theologicum’ of Curitiba.
