Segrate, Italy. On the 27th of February 2018, the Meeting of the laity led by Fr. Angelo Cupini took place at the Parish of Sant’Ambrogio ad Fontes in Segrate. 21 lay people invited personally with a letter and 4 Claretian Missionaries from the Community of Segrate participated. They were presented with both the steps that had been taken and that to be done in view of the reorganization process that the future Province formed by Catalunya, Euskal Herria, France and Italy is undertaking.
Likewise, the document entitled: “The Claretian Mission in the World of the Excluded”, approved by the Major Superiors of the aforementioned four Organisms in December 2017, was presented. The meeting served as an awareness of the journey together with the laity in this process.
Two more events with the laity will follow: one is during the 4×4 in April to be held in Lecco; and the other is in May, in Vicenza, where the laity of Trieste, Lecco, Olcio, and Valmadrera will also participate. These meetings were planned in preparation for the Meeting of the Laity of the future Province to be held on October 2018 in Vic, Spain.
