Karukutty, India. The Superiors’ Meet 2026 of St. Thomas Province was held from 22 to 24 September 2026 at the Claretian Provincial House, Karukutty, bringing together 34 members for three days of prayer, reflection, evaluation, and dialogue on the life and mission of the Province.
The gathering began with Eucharistic Adoration and Holy Qurbana. The participants also prayed for the departed soul of Stu. Francis Puthuparambil, CMF, on the occasion of his 21st death anniversary, remembering him in faith and gratitude.
Following the official inauguration and opening session, Rev. Fr. Sojan Nendoor O.Carm, former Provincial Superior of Carmelites, animated an input session for the participants.
A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to reviewing the life and mission of St. Thomas Province. The Provincial Superior presented his report, followed by reports from the various Prefectures. These presentations offered an overview of the Province’s ministries, pastoral commitments, community life, and missionary priorities.
Superiors and delegate superiors also presented reports on the functioning of their respective communities, highlighting pastoral activities, ministries, experiences, and concerns. The sharing provided an opportunity for participants to gain a broader understanding of the realities faced by communities across the Province.
Group discussions and evaluation sessions further enabled the participants to reflect together on current experiences and challenges and to identify priorities for the future. The three-day gathering strengthened communion among the superiors and renewed their shared commitment to the Claretian mission in St. Thomas Province.
