Jundiaí, Brasil. On July 19, the Claretians of Brazil started their First Provincial Assembly in Jundií, SP, with the theme: “Mission: identity and prophetic service.”

This encounter seeks to delve into the missionary identity that nourishes the evangelizing action

and characterizes the lifestyle of the Claretian. The horizon of the Assembly will be the content of the declaration of the XXIV General Chapter, which invites us to live out the definition of the Missionaries as “Men on Fire with Love.”

The Assembly counts on the guidance of Fr. José Cristo Rey García Paredes CMF, present Director of the Institute of Theology of Consecrated Life in Madrid, who participated and deeply contributed to the editing of the Chapter Declaration.

The Claretian Family and the lay persons who are linked to our missionary works in Brazil are also participating in the Assembly.

All in all, there are more than 150 participants, including religious men and women and lay persons. It is estimated that the Assembly will end in the afternoon of July 23.
