Quezon City, Philippines. The first of the series of Bible Animation Seminars (BAS) lined up by Philippines’ Prefect of Apostolate, Fr. Larry Miranda, CMF, hand in hand with its Bible Commission headed by Fr. Julius Jose Coching, CMF, took place on June 28, 2019 at the Bulwagang Claret of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Quezon City. The Local Communities and ministries with their respective lay collaborators in Luzon and Visayas took part in this Bible Animation Program of the Claretians in the Philippines. Frs. Alejandro Gobrin, Anthony Carreon, and Jonathan Bitoy, CMFF facilitated and gave the talks.
The seminar is one of the many modes of the Province in living the demands of Missionarii Sumus on the centrality of the Word of God in the life and mission of the missionaries and the Congregation. It is also to put into action the recent resolution issued and approved in Hong Kong last May 12-18, 2019, during the ASCLA-East Conference on Bible Ministry. Nevertheless, this is only the start of the many programs hoped to be put into action in the Biblical Animation of the Apostolates in the Philippine Province.
The next BAS will take place at Claret Seminary on August 2, 2019, intended for all the Missionaries in Formation in the pre-novitiate and post-novitiate levels.
