The General Assembly and the New Delegation Government of Indonesia-Timor Leste Independent Delegation 2023-2026

Nov 11, 2023 | Indonesia - Timor Leste

Kupang, Indonesia. The General Assembly of the Indonesia-Timor Leste Independent Delegation took place from November 8 to 13, 2023, under the theme “Rooted, Growing & Bearing Fruit” at Wisma Claretian Benlutu, Indonesia. The Assembly was presided over by Fr. Manuel Alfredo Tamargo Rodriguez, CMF, the General Prefect of Economy and delegate of Fr. Mathew Vattamattam, CMF, the General Superior of the Congregation.

The president of the Assembly, Fr. Manuel Tamargo, emphasized the significance of the three key words—Rooted, Growing, Bearing Fruit—stating that they must be understood in the context of the entire Organism, especially by the participants. He underscored that the journey of being rooted, growing, or bearing fruit requires the continuous presence of the grace of God and the Holy Spirit.

Fr. Tamargo expressed that being rooted goes beyond the organizational level, extending to each individual’s life. He highlighted the reliance on divine grace for growth and the necessity of hope during the waiting period for bearing fruit.

During the Assembly, Fr. Manuel Tamargo, CMF, announced the newly appointed Delegation Government of the Claretian Missionaries for the next triennium (2023-2026). The new team includes:
