XIV Provincial Assembly of Mexico

Feb 23, 2018 | México, MICLA

Morelia, Mexico. 64 members of the Province of México, together with Fr. Gonzalo Fernandez, CMF, Vicar General and General Prefect of Spirituality, gathered together at the Centro Claretiano de Espiritualidad (CCE) in Morelia for their XIV Provincial Assembly from 19 to 23 February, with a theme “Province going-forth: Mission in creative fidelity.” Fr. Rosendo Urrabazo, CMF, Provincial Superior of USA-Canada was also invited.

Before going into the business of the Assembly, they underwent first a mini-recollection facilitated by the diocesan priest, Fr. Ricardo Gonzalez. Then, they focused on the operative part. The objective of the Assembly placed them in the work to be done: to discuss their Provincial reality and the interpellations that reality presents to them in order to program their Mission from creative fidelity, inspired by the testimony of Mateu Casals, Teófilo Casajús and Ferrán Saperas, fellow blessed martyrs.

Within this defining framework, the Assembly focused on three points: revision of lifestyles, works and REVOYPO positions, Youth Ministry and Vocations (YVM) and the San Judas Tadeo Spring (MSJT), guided by the “church going-forth” concept, a challenge to the Claretian Mission. And on this matter, they were enlightened by the clarity of ideas and approaches of Fr. Gonzalo Fernández, CMF.
