Mixco, Guatemala. From September 23 – 25 at the Claret Parish of this City an Encounter of Youth Ministry was held with the participation of 73 people in charge of this work in the various nations of this Province: Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Panamá and Guatemala.
The encounter developed three diverse methodologies:
• Information about the reality of Youth Ministry in Guatemala,
• Enlightenment on Youth Ministry from the Latin-American perspective and our Claretian identity, centered on the Youth Ministry Project, with a profile and spirituality of the Animator of Youth Ministry and Youth Ministry Teams.
• Finally, the development of a proposal which aims to consolidate the provincial project of Youth Ministry from the perspective of “the Forge” and according to a kerygmatic and catechumenal itinerary, together with a project of formation of youth accompaniment..There was time to share diverse information among which were highlights of World Youth Day and the Claretian Family made last month in Madrid and the preparations which are being made for the next WYD in 2013 in Rio De Janiero.
